Taali review: Created by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk Nishandar, JioCinema's new series Taali sees Sushmita Sen essay trans activist Shreegauri Sawant. In a scene that arrives late in the new series Taali, a gay NGO worker Navin (Ankur Bhatia) tells trans activist Gauri ( Sushmita Sen ) that the discrimination he faces is nowhere near what she has to live with, day in and day out. Yet in no way does the show provide a context for what Navin's struggles look like. For Taali, it doesn't matter at all. It is this tepid, unfair comparison of queer existence and their realities, that washes over the sanitized biographical drama that is Taali. Here’s  what  snaky  means  and how to use it. Does 'snaky' have to do with snakes? According to the  Merriam-Webster Dictionary , “snaky” first and foremost means, “of, formed of, or entwined with snakes.” Its second definition also means “serpentine” or “snakelike,” and its third meaning is “suggestive of a snake.” Lastly, it can mean “abounding in snakes.”

Honestly, we’re running out of superlatives for him. This was a typical Haaland performance in that beyond the goals, he hardly impacted the game. He’d gone scoreless for six games and there was the tiniest smidgeon of concern over his form but he showed it today it was nothing more than a minor blip. Second season syndrome? What’s that? porting world must challenge India over 2023 Cricket World Cup

Image
Next spring,   India   is due to hold the most important general election in the nation's history - a contest which will determine whether India continues its downward spiral into bigotry and authoritarianism, or return to the rich pluralistic traditions of its past. Though the election is not due to be held until April, Prime Minister  Narendra Modi 's campaign will in effect be launched this coming October, when cricket-mad India  hosts the World Cup .  Modi, following in the tradition of other populist leaders, is determined to extract every last drop of political advantage from the sporting event. We know this because Modi recently ordered the world's  largest  cricket stadium, where the World Cup's first game is set to be played,  renamed  after himself. This sent a message that the Indian cricket team represents his own political party - the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) - and not the nation as a whole. Thus far the international sporting world has not dared to c
